Étude Arts welcomes Trevor Haumschilt-Rocha

Étude Arts is excited to welcome Mexican-American baritone Trevor Haumschilt-Rocha for general management.

Trevor Haumschilt-Rocha joins the Opernstudio at Volksoper Wien for the 2024-26 seasons, with his anticipated debut in November as Robert in Jolanthe und der Nussknacker, a hybrid presentation of Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta and Nutcracker.  Additional responsibilities of the season include repertoire ranging from Le nozze di Figaro to Jonathan Dove’s Das verzauberte Schwein.

Having spent the summer of 2024 at the Aspen Music Festival as a Renée Fleming Fellow and under the tutelage of Ms. Fleming and Patrick Summers, co-Artistic Directors of Aspen Opera Theater and VocalARTS, Trevor Haumschilt-Rocha performed the roles of Count Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro and Peter in Hänsel und Gretel in fully-staged productions and appeared in a broad range of recitals and concerts with programming from Franz Schubert to Chris Thile.

He is a recent graduate of The Juilliard School where he studied with Kevin Short, earning his Master’s degree, and a proud alum of San Diego State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance under the instruction of Laurinda Nikkel.
