While the Foundation confers its awards without ranking the singers, no such constraint applies to critics, so one can say that the day’s standout [was] baritone Haumschilt-Rocha, 26…singing “Mein Sehnen, mein Wahnen” from Die tote Stadt…Haumschilt-Rocha’s woody (but far from wooden) tone balanced fullness and focus and projected almost tangibly into the hall in all dynamics, including an exquisite diminuendo at the end of the aria. His phrasing and facial expression conveyed every flicker of the character Fritz’s emotions as the clown Pierrot.
New York Classical Review, David Wright

Klassik-begeistert, Johannes Karl Fischer
In the small role of Robert – sadly stripped of his brief aria – Trevor Haumschilt-Rocha was a standout, his virile baritone ringing out gloriously.
Bachtrack, Mark Pullinger
Trevor Haumschilt-Rocha as the Count was an imposing figure in his three-piece suit, matched by an equally impressive baritone in the vengeful “Vedrò mentr’io sospiro.”
Opera News, David Shengold
Baritone Trevor Haumschilt-Rocha as Dr. Malatesta has a wonderfully rich and big voice that thrilled with its robust fullness and fluidity throughout its range.
The Daily Gazette, Geraldine Freedman
